A serious passion for metal is at the root of all of my artwork. A day without metal is like a day without sunshine!
Any type of metal will do really, it can be a shiny piece of silver or a fabulously rusty treasure, all of it sparks the fire of inspiration in my soul.
There are few things that make me happier than a good selection of hammers, a big torch, and some metal to play with.
I find inspiration everywhere, but mostly in small pleasures, and being outside in the rural area I live in.
Whimsy, spirit, play, and imagination are elements I strive to infuse each of my pieces with, this means that my work doesn’t tend to be about production, but about the joy in handcrafting each piece.
There are some similar themes in my work, but the most visually obvious is my love of texture. In metal creating texture is an intense process, every mark you see is made individually by my hand. (and some people say I have no patience?!?) These factors combined with the fact that my working style is a trifle eclectic, (at times I have been compared to a bumble bee in a wind storm) result in the creation of a fairly varied collection of jewellery and objects.

My pieces are made from many metals… silver, copper, brass, steel, and aluminum. Color is added with patinas, metal enamels, semi-precious stones and glass beads.

Working in metal is spiritual to me, it represents my commitment to fully living life with imagination, compassion, tenacity, a huge desire to learn, and a sense of humor!
